Travis Laird

Registered Patent Attorney

Travis Laird is a registered patent attorney and a member of the Utah State Bar. Travis has extensive experience preparing and prosecuting domestic and foreign patent applications, primarily in the electrical and signal processing fields. He has drafted and prosecuted patent applications in a wide range of technologies, including biomedical systems, image processing, cybersecurity, data storage systems, analog and digital circuit design, control circuitry, power management, computer hardware and software, interfaces, cryptography, data compression, video coding, video signal generation, and wireless transmitters.

Before joining ALG, Travis worked for five years at a nationally recognized intellectual property law firm in Salt Lake City. He was also an in-house patent agent for an implantable medical device company.

Before entering law school, Travis worked in the telecommunications hardware industry. He was also a research assistant in the Telemetry Laboratory for the Department of Electrical Engineering at Brigham Young University, where he designed and tested various digital modulators for NASA and assisted in signal processing research for the Air Force. Travis is fluent in Spanish.
